João has directed business strategy and decision intelligence at amplified creations since 2006 and, as CEO, runs the studio day to day: finance, partnerships and people, and the first call on senior client engagements.
Alongside the studio he has spent more than two decades in higher education and research. He was a military associate professor at the Portuguese Military Academy, teaching decision analysis on the Master in Information Warfare; deputy director and academic dean of the Portuguese Army Polytechnic School; and a coordinating professor at IPA, where he led the postgraduate course in Enterprise Strategy — Leadership and Decision. He researches software project management and decision-making at CEG-IST in Lisbon and at the Centre of Informatics of the Federal University of Pernambuco in Recife, Brazil, and studied at the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa.
